TYRA MAKES THE NEWS

Eddie O’Sullivan’s visit to Houston’s Strake Jesuit & the Lost Afternoon Lunch has gotten the sport of rugby some well needed press in Houston.

Strake Jesuit hosted its first ever camp this week. With National team coach Eddie O’Sullivan taking the lead, along with coaches from: Rice, Texas A&M, Regis School, University of St. Thomas, the Woodlands, Katy, SHSU women, and of course Streak Jesuit. Instruction was provided to 56 boys & young men from St. Thomas, Katy, Woodlands, Pius, Regis, Auburn University, Colorado University, Texas A&M, and many others.

In addition to coverage of the camp, the article discusses TYRA’s, specifically Rick Marshall’s efforts at the youth level, as well as the Lost Afternoon Lunch. This is the first of hopefully many lunches that solidifies the rugby community in a drive to bring back internationals to Houston as well as raise funds to develop youth rugby.
