SFA’s Deep East Texas High School Rugby Co-op Tournament
We are getting ready for another successful tournament. Thanks to last year’s tournament attendees for making it a successful tournament.
Just a friendly reminded about the cutoff for the discount on Tournament dues is coming up on New Year’s. We have three fields available to us this year (two with lights) .
Format:
15 minute Halves for U19. U17 up to 15 minute halves.
Early Registration Fees: $75 per team
Cut Off Date: New Year’s Eve 2009
Late Registration Fees: $100 per team
Dates: January 30th 2010
Age / Levels: U19 / Varsity and U17/Newbie Brackets

Strake Jesuit Rugby Camp July 21, 22, & 23
SJ will host their first ever rugby camp. Guest coach will include Eddie O’Sullivan coach of the US National team the Eagles. Prior to that Eddie was a three time Triple Crown winning coach of Ireland. The SJ staff along with coaches from Texas A&M & Rice Universities will be providing instruction.
A camp for u-12 though college aged players.
SJ will host their first ever rugby camp. Camp directors will include Bill Rung head coach of Strake Jesuit along with backs & forward coaches at SJ; John Connolly & David Walker.

Morning session: u-12 & U-14 (9:00 AM – 11:20 AM)
Evening Session: High School & College aged players (7:00 – 9:15 PM)

Camps, St. Thomas High School
Rugby camp for rising 6th grade through 12th grade
Camp offers the participants a chance to work with our highly skilled coaching
staff and current USA National Team players to improve basic and advanced skill
sets. Players will work on non-contact skills and improve their speed, agility and
quickness. Meets at Hotze Field.
SESSION: JUNE 15-18
TIME: 9AM-12PM
AGES: Rising 6th-12th grade boys
COST: $100

Other Staff: Local High School/Middle School coaches other current and former STH players (USA Eagles – Andres Diaz, Paul Rogers, and
Byron Henry) will be in attendance and provide individual instruction to campers.
WHAT TO BRING:
Campers must be in generally good physical condition and able to follow instruction. Campers must bring with them: Rugby or soccer boots, running shoes and/or cross trainers, shorts (rugby preferable) that do not have snaps, zippers or belt loops,T-shirt and/or summer weight rugby jersey(s), mouthpiece, ball cap or wide brimmed hat, gym or kit bag for gear. Campers should arrive early and be picked up in a timely manner within 30 minutes of the scheduled end of camp each day.
